Teresa Sapey

Teresa Sapey is a famous Italian architect and interior designer, graduated from the Polytechnic University of Turin. At the age of 28 she moved to Madrid and set up her own studio, where she continues to work every day. She combines this work with her plastic research classes at the Camilo José Cela University in Madrid. Some of his most emblematic works are in Madrid, such as the project for the Hotel Puerta de América car park, the refurbishment of the Palacio de Congresos and the decoration of the façade of the Estación Norte train station. Teresa Sapey has been honoured with highly recognized awards in the world of architecture, including the United Nations Womentogether Award and the Interior Design Studio of the Year Award from Architectural Digest. She has also been named Breakthrough Designer of the Year by Wallpaper and holds the title of Cavaliere della Repubblica Italiana with the rank of Commendatore, awarded by the Italian Government. Teresa recognizes that what she seeks with her work is to provoke emotions, no matter what kind they are. She sees architecture as a perfect combination of functionality and emotion.
